A light touch of dark chocolate on the nose and palate. Notes of red and black fruits. Gently smoky. The leather arrives slowly. The tannins almost scream, but are well-balanced. Good acidity. Game meats, risottos, and intensely flavored dishes pair well with this wine. If the alcohol content were around 14% or a little more, would the wine be better? I like the uncertainty.
